Privacy Policy

Overview

SwarIT ("we", "us") is a Hindustani classical ear-training app. We collect the minimum data needed to run the app and personalize your practice. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except as described below.

What We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect one of the following depending on your chosen sign-in method:

• Email address (for email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In)
• Phone number (for phone OTP sign-in)
• Your name (if provided by Apple or Google during sign-in)

Profile information

During onboarding we ask for your name, age, gender, and country. This personalizes your training and helps us improve the app for different audiences. You can update or remove this information by contacting us.

Practice data

We store your scores, streaks, levels unlocked, and individual training session results. This powers your progress tracking and stats.

Activity logs

We log events such as sign-in, profile completion, and training session starts so we can improve the app's design over time. These logs are tied to your account.

Diagnostic and crash data

If the app crashes, we collect anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix the bug.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Microphone audio. Vocal-match exercises analyze your singing on-device in real time. Audio data never leaves your device and is not recorded or uploaded.
• Location. We do not request or use your device location.
• Contacts. We do not access your contacts.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA). We don't run ads and don't track for ad attribution.
• Browsing history. We don't track activity outside the app.

How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in
• To save your progress and sync it across devices you sign into
• To improve the app (which features are used, where users drop off)
• To respond when you contact our support email

Who We Share Data With

We use the following service providers to operate the app. They process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database, crash reporting
• Apple: Sign in with Apple (only the email and name you choose to share)

We do not share your personal data with any other third party.

Your Rights

Access and correction

Email us to request a copy of your data or to correct anything inaccurate. We respond within 7 days.

Account deletion

Email aanchaldogra93@gmail.com from the address linked to your account (or include your phone number if you signed up via phone). We will permanently delete your account, profile, practice data, and activity logs within 7 days and confirm by email.

Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all your data within 7 days. Anonymous crash reports are kept by Firebase per its retention policy (~90 days).

Children

SwarIT is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
